With the completion of Round 1 now complete, reports have already surfaced that the Dragons have set their sight on one of the Brisbane Broncos big men for 2019 and beyond.
It is understood that the Dragons have their eyes set on Fijian international and younger brother of Tariq Sims, Korbin.
Korbin was released by the Newcastle Knights at the beginning of the 2017 season, so the 26-year old could take up a 2-year deal with the Brisbane Broncos.
Sims finished his debut season with the Broncos with him playing in 22 matches and scoring 5 tries for the Broncos, before a season ending injury in Round 25 against the Parramatta Eels, where a arm injury in the Broncos 52-34 loss at Suncorp Stadium forced him out of the remaining matches.
Now, 12 months out it is believed that the Dragons are very keen on re-uniting the Sims brothers and are very confident of making this happen. The signing of Korbin would complement an already fierce forward pack.
