Konrad Hurrell has suffered a knee injury at pre-season training, in what could be a cruel blow for the Titans 2017 campaign.
During a routine training drill the former Warrior and now Gold Coast Titan went down with the injury and now awaits the result of scans from medical staff.
It is understood that Hurrell may have suffered a medial ligament injury, with the club medical team positive and up beat about the injury to the Titans centre.
The recovery time for a injured medial ligament injury is 4-8 weeks, which could have him still good to go for Rd 1.
A injury to his anterior crucial ligament, would rule Hurrell out for the entire 2017 season with a minimum 12 month recovery time.
Titans coach Neil Henry is expected to give a update on Hurrell status and severity of the injury Tuesday, before the Gold Coast break for Christmas holidays.
Hurrell is currently in talks with the Titans on a contract extension, with the club wanting to sign the raging bull for a further 2 years.
Hurrell joined the Titans midway through the 2016 season from the Warriors. He managed to play 10 games for his new club, scoring 3 tries in the Titans colours.
