Each week we assemble the best players from NRL Clubs to make our ‘Team of the Week’
Below is the full collection of players from Round 15.
1 Clint Gutherson (Eels)
A late switch from coach Brad Arthur saw Gutherson switch to fullback and what a master stroke it was from the Parramatta coach. Gutherson went for 214 metres gained and scored two tries for the match and helping the Eels gain a comfortable victory over the Dragons.
2 Alex Johnston (Rabbitohs)
Fresh from re-signing with the club, Johnston scored a double in the Rabbitohs convincing win over the Titans, also adding 120 metres gained from 11 carries
3 Kurt Capewell (Sharks)
What a performance from Capewell, 22 carries for 251 metres gained and rewarded for his efforts with two tries. Coach Shane Flanagan will find it tough to keep this kid out of his side going forward.
4 Curtis Scott (Storm)
Scott found himself back in the Storm lineup and grabbed his opportunity with both hands, scoring a double to help the Storm grab the narrowest of wins.
5 Edrick Lee (Sharks)
In what would be his best performance for the Sharks, since making the cross from the Raiders, Lee finished the match with 17 carries for 163 metres gained, two line breaks, a try assist and a try for himself. Yep he has out wing spot for this week,
THE HALVES & HOOKER
6 John Sutton (Rabbitohs)
Show the old veteran still has what it takes to mix it in the halves. 10 carries for 119 yards and set up a try and had a hand in plenty more, solid game from Sutton.
7 Chad Townsend (Sharks)
In the absence of his partner in crime James Maloney, due to State of Origin duties, Townsend needed to stand up and stand up he did. Townsend led the Sharks attacking plays and scored a try in the 52nd minute to swing the momentum back to the Sharks way.
9 Robbie Farah (Rabbitohs)
His best game for his new club, farah provided the Rabbitohs with plenty of attack from quick play the balls around the ruck. In Farah’s 70 minutes of game time he made a line break and set up two of Crichton tries.
