NRL Club the Penrith Panthers confirmed the release of Samisoni Langi with the talented Utility to Join the Super League before the June 30 Deadline.
The 24-year old Tonga International has agreed to part ways with Penrith, just months after signing with the club. Langi has failed to break into the Panthers side this season and believed the English Super League will provide him a regular starting spot.
Leigh Centurions are believed to be close in signing Langi on a 2-year deal, and are hoping Langi can strengthen their forward pack, as the Centurions look to avoid regulation after only their first season back in Super League, after 12 years out of the top league.
Langi made 3 appearances for the Sydney Roosters between the 2013-14 season and hoping a switch to Super League can kick-start his rugby league career.
