We rank the top three players in each position after 18 rounds of the 2017 Betfred Super League season
1 Jake Mamo: Has burst onto the Super League scene and has become arguably the best fullback in the game today. 12 tries in 9 appearances for Huddersfield and has given the Giants fans something to be excited about going forward.
2 Zak Hardaker: Has had a superb season for the Tigers and has shown glimpses of his 2015 ‘Man of Steel’ form at times. Three tries and 12 try assist has help keep the Tigers at the top of the league table.
3 Jamie Shaul: The quiet achiever, a slow start to the season, but Shaul has quickly jumped his try scoring tally to 12 for the season with two try assist and has given some life back to the ‘Black & Whites’ after their mid season slump.
1 Greg Eden: 30 tries for the season – Enough said really!! Eden has been nothing short of outstanding and should definitely be in the conversation for England selection for the World Cup at the end of the year.
2 Liam Marshall: What a season the rookie is having for Wigan. Even though the Warriors are having a disappointing season, Marshall is a real positive to pull out of 2017. His 18 tries has him sitting second on the list of tries scored and has a very bright future at Wigan it seems.
3 Ben Jones-Bishop: Wakefield will be pleased to have locked away Jones-Bishop on a long-term contract after his 2017 form. His 15 tries for the season is has his side as a real contender for a top 4 finish. Wakefield are currently sitting 5th on the league table and a lot can be contributed to Jones-Bishop.
1 Kallum Watkins: Regarded by many as the best centre in Super League today and his 2017 form can backs this up. 8 tries and 6 try assist has helped guide the Rhinos on third place League Table.
2 Mark Percival: St Helens best player in 2017 so far, Percival has provided life for St Helens, not only with his try scoring ability, but with his boot via his accurate goal kicking. His 11 tries this season is his career best tally in a single season and expect more to come from the talented 23-year old.
3 Junior Sau: Try to stop this big powerful Samoan from crossing the line when he is at full pace, many have failed and will continue to do so. Sau has had a brilliant all-round season for the Red Devils, scoring 7 tries, but setting up 8 tries for his teammate, but has had a hand in plenty of more.
