New Manly Sea Easgles coach Des Halser is believed to have informed hooker Api Koroisau that he is free to explore his options else, as Manly continue to deal with their salary cao scandal.
The club has also been fined $750,000, with $250,000 suspended, while chief operating officer Neil Bare and former chief executive Joe Kelly were deregistered for 12 months.
Koroisau is believed to have agreed to new terms with the Sea Eagles despite offers from several rival clubs.
Koroisau was in great form early in the season before a broken foot in June brought a premature end to his year.
He remains one of the most dangerous hookers in the game out of dummy half and his decision to stick with the club will give Manly a huge boost.
It is understood that the Newcastle Knights or the Parramatta Eels are keeping a keen eye on the situation and are ready to pounce if Koroisau does indeed to depart the Sea Eagles.
Koroisau has made 85 NRL appearance across three clubs (Rabbitohs 14, Panthers 16 and Sea Eagles 55) making his debut in Round 4 of the 2014 NRL season against the Canberra Raiders in the Rabbitohs 30-18 loss at ANZ Stadium.
Koroisau is expected to make his decision within the coming weeks
