NRL clubs are queueing up to have a crack at England International Test forward Luke Thompson.
The standout player in the Super League this season, Thompson looks to have all the weapons to make a go of it in the NRL.
The 23-year-old prop from St Helens is big, strong and tough and has a good offload in his game.
Despite his tender years for a prop, he has already racked up over 130 games in the engine room and there is no doubting his durability.
He’s under contract to Saints until the end of the 2019 season – but that is not stopping several NRL clubs from attempting to lure him down under before the June 30 cut off date.
The Bulldogs are the club believed to be leading the chase for the man rated as the best forward in England.
Desperate for more muscle up front, the Bulldogs are targeting Thompson to lead their lack luster forward pack going forward.
But it is understood that St Helens will not let Thompson walk so easily as the club are trying to extend his contract long-term, but the NRL clubs are not the only clubs after him, with several big-spending English clubs also have their eyes on him.
