It is understood if the Bulldogs sign Aaron Woods for 2017 and Beyond, James Graham is likely to depart the Bulldogs.
It has been reported that the Canterbury Bulldogs are set to make a major re-shuffle to their playing list for 2018 and have tabled a massive 4-year offer at $1 million dollars per season.
Woods’ arrival at Belmore would most likely spell the end of James Graham time at the Bulldogs. The disgruntled forward has been rumoured to a departure all off-season, heavily linked with the Manly Sea Eagles.
If the Canterbury offer is close to the mark, it would be very hard for Aaron Woods to knock back, unless the Wests Tigers can come close to matching it.
Something which the Tigers may struggle to do as the club aims to lock away James Tedesco long-term and have put their young halves of Mitchell Moses and Luke Brooks a priority before Aaron Woods.
A arrival of Aaron Woods to Belmore could see two possible outcomes for James Graham; a move to Manly, which he has been heavily linked too – or – a return to English Super League, where it is believed St Helens if the favourite for his services.
Rabbitohs and Newcastle are believed to also be interested in the England International for the 2018 season. There are even reports that Wayne Bennett’s connection, as coach of the England team could land Graham at the Broncos.
James Graham has stated previously that he has a desire to play in the English Super League again and would find it hard to play for anyone other then St Helens, but it would be silly not to listen to all offers from all other Super League clubs before making his decision.
It is understood the Aaron Woods is waiting to see who will be the coach for both the Wests Tigers and the Canterbury Bulldogs in 2018 before he makes a decision on his playing future.
