Alex Foster Signs with Castleford

Free Agent Alex Foster has signed a trial basis contract with the Castleford Tigers

Foster, 23, originally signed with the Bradford Bulls on a 2-year deal for the 2017 season. But, a free agent after the Bulls went into administration.

Fosters trial basis contract is expected to be turned into a 2-year deal once Foster recovers from a hernia operation that is expected to keep him off the field for another 3-5 weeks, but the Castleford Tigers are excited at the capture of the talented young forward who also has the ability to play in the centres.

Foster, who came through the ranks at Leeds Rhinos, played 8 games for Leeds, before he went out on loan to London and Featherstone Rovers. Foster signed with the Bulls at the end of last season.

Foster had a strong season at the Broncos where he made 20 appearances and scored 11 tries in the 2016 season.
