The Buffalo Bills have been reported to have invited former Buccaneers CB Alterraun Verner for a visit
The Buffalo Bills are in desperate need for a quality cornerback for the 2017, after the departure of Stephon Gilmore to the New England Patriot.
Although it is under stood that the Bills are expected to address the issue via NFL Draft, the Bills need a Top CB now!
The Bills have invited 28-year old and former Buccaneer Alterraun Verner to take a tour of their facilities. Verner will enter his 8th season in the 2017 season and has only missed two games which occurred in 2014 season.
A former fourth round pick (104) out of UCLA, Verner has made 110 NFL appearances since being drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the 2010 season.
Verner was released by the Buccaneers in February, after 3 years in Tampa Bay, which can be best described as a disappointment.
Still only 28-years old, Verner has two seasons of 80-plus tackles on his professional resume, and in his last year with the Tennessee Titans (2013) he was a top-15 performer at his position.
There’s potential here—reason to think a change of scenery and a “prove it” deal could motivate Verner to attempt to recapture past glories.
Given the state of the Buffalo secondary, the Bills don’t have anything to lose.
