We take a look at key players for Collingwood who are currently recovering from off season surgery or are on modified programs.
Daniel Wells has had an interrupted pre-season but is back on track and will be likely to be limited in the JLT Community Series as the club wants him to build on his fitness and be right for Round 1 of the AFL 2017 season.
Ben Reid has made good progress after a knee operation and is on a slightly restricted training program away from the main group. The Magpies expect Reid to be fit for the start of the season opener.
Matt Scharenberg is returning from a full knee reconstruction which ruined his 2016 season. He is making good progress and is training with the main group. Is this the year Scharenberg can show supporters what he is capable of, and repay the club for the tremendous faith they have shown in the 21-year old.
