As the 2017 NFL Free Agency heads into it’s 4th day the Chiefs defensive tackle Dontari Poe is believed to be visiting Indianapolis Colts on Sunday followed by visits to Oakland Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, Atlanta Falcons and the Miami Dolphin.
Dontari Poe signed a 4 year, $11,320,006 contract with the Kansas City Chiefs, including a $6,672,730 signing bonus, $11,320,006 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $2,830,002. But can earn a lot more on the open market with a number clubs chasing his signature for the 2017 season
Poe, 26, was Kansas City Chiefs first selection (pick 11 overall) in the 2012 NFL Draft. Poe, a 6-foot-3, 346-pound defensive tackle, is extremely athletic for a man of his size.
Dontari Poe could command up to $10 million per season on the open market – a figure that is too much for the Chiefs as they struggle with a very tight salary cap heading into the 2017 season.
The former Memphis product is a 2× Pro Bowl (2013, 2014) and has made 200 tackles, 13 sacks, 2 Forced fumbles, 12 Pass deflections and 3 Touchdowns.
