Denver Broncos Wide Receiver open for the Franchise to Bring in Tony Romo for next season.
Appearing on NFL network on Sunday, Sanders was asked if he would benefit it the Broncos decided to trade for Tony Romo and bringing him to the Mile High City.
“I believe I would benefit, but I’m always going to take it back and put it on John Elway,”
“In John Elway I trust, and if he does bring him over, I think Tony Romo would fit awesome in [Mike] McCoy’s system. No huddle, up-tempo offense, I think it’s going to be similar to the Cowboys.
I think he’s going to have Demaryius Thomas and some wide receiver No. 10 on the other side.”
Then Sanders went onto say:
I feel like we will win ballgames with Tony Romo or potentially a championship. At the same time, Paxton Lynch played in a spread offense at Memphis and he can be successful. I think Trevor Siemian can be successful.
We’ll see what we do. I can’t sit up here and say ‘Bring Tony Romo!’ because I also have two other quarterbacks that are playing really well too.”
Romo would be required to take a paycut if Denver would likely have interest in the star Quarterback.
