Hep Cahill time at the Widnes Vikings is expected to come to a end
Cahill, 30, joined the Vikings at the end of the 2011 season, crossing from the Crusaders Rugby League where he made 17 appearances.
Cahill has been one of the Vikings most consistent players in his 73 appearances for the club, but is is understood both parties believe it is time to move on from one another.
The Second-Rower plays at loose forward for the Vikings and leads the club in tackles (172) and metres gained (458) and will leave a massive hole for the Vikings in their defence.
It is understood there are no shortage of clubs who are interested in the 30-year old, with Leeds Rhinos believed to be leading the pack for his services.
Warrington, St Helens, Castleford and the Wigan are also all believed to have shown interest in the New Zealand International.
