Canterbury Bulldogs Centre Kerrod Holland could make a return to Newcastle as Bulldogs look to ease Salary cap pressure for 2018.
Holland, 24, a former Singleton junior, is yet to be offered a new contract from the Bulldogs as the signing of Aaron Woods and the potential signing of Warriors five-eighth Kieron Foran for 2018 has put the Bulldogs salary cap under immense pressure and the club is looking to offload players.
The Bulldogs signed Holland on a 2-year deal at the end of the 2015 season, after winning the then prized signature from Newcastle, Warriors and Rabbitohs.
Holland has made 19 appearances for the Bulldogs, scoring 6 tries since making his debut for the Doggies, since making his remarkable debut in n Round 2 of the 2016 NRL season, against the Penrith Panthers. After the scores were locked up at 16-all in the last minute of the game from a Moses Mbye try, Holland kicked the conversion after the full-time siren to win the match.
The Newcastle Knights are believed to have tabled a 3-year deal to the goal kicking centre, believed to worth up to $1.2 Million
Holland is expected to make a decision on his playing future within the coming weeks.
