Leigh Centurions continue to add to their 2017 playing stocks, with the signing of Bradford Bulls free agent Lachlan Burr on a 1-year deal.
Burr, 24, originally signed with the now liquidated Bradford Bulls for the 2017 season, but with the demise of the Bulls, Burr became a free agent and the Centurions pounced and quickly snapped the talented forward.
Burr has spent time at NRL clubs Gold Coast Titans and the Canterbury Bulldogs, before making the switch to English Rugby League.
Burr’s new deal with Leigh, is believed to have a 2-year extension option on it after the 2017 season if both parties are satisfied after his first year.
“I have no doubt at all he will have a big contribution in helping us achieve our goals this year,” head coach Neil Jukes told Leigh Centurion website.
