The Wests Tigers continue to add their playing list with the addition of Penrith Flyer Malakai Watene-Zelezniak.
The Penrith Panthers have granted the immediate release of 25-year old Centre/Winger Malakai Watene-Zelezniak to the Wests Tigers effective immediately, as Ivan Cleary raids his old club.
Watene-Zelezniak has just made the one appearance for the Panthers and will now make the move to the Tigers, hoping for more of an opportunity at senior level.
Watene-Zelezniak, has signed for the remainder of the 2017 season and the 2018 season, adding much needed depth to the Tigers outside backs going forward, with Kevin Naiqama expected to depart at seasons end.
Ivan Cleary was pleased to have the 25-year old join the club.
“I look forward to having Malakai as a part of our squad moving forward,” said Cleary.
“Malakai offers great versatility and further strengthens the depth in our outside backs.”
