We Look at each 32 NFL teams and Choose their top free agent they need/should resign for the 2017 season
Zach Brown – ILB, Age: 27
Brown had a break out season in 2016 where he was named AFC defensive player of the week during the season. At 27 years old, the Bills would like to have him in their future defensive plans going forward.
The Bills signed Brown on a 1-year ‘prove it’ contract, worth $1.25 million. To retains him for next season the Bills will need to at least double that, if not triple it to keep him in Buffalo and they should.
Kenny Stills – WR, Age:24
In 2016, Stills had 42 receptions for 726 yards and 9 touchdowns and was one of Ryan Tannehill’s deep threats.
Still’s base salary in 2016 was $1,671,000 and he expect him to test his worth on the open market, but the Dolphins should aim to keep him in Miami as he forms a deadly attack along with Jarvis Landry and DeVante Parker
Dont’a Hightower – ILB, Age: 27
Who knows what Bill Belichick will do, especially after trading Jamie Collins off to Cleveland mid season.
But Hightower needs to stay in New England, he is the Patriots best defensive player and the departure of Collins will allow New England to lock Hightower down a long term contract.
Even with his injury history, he is definitely worth it.
Ben Ijalana – OT, Age: 27
Ijalana, is a fighter for the Jets and he showed in 2016 that he has a tough streak and keeps going to the end.
A big body up front is what the Jets needs among many other things, but this should be a no brainer
Ijalana is able to generate good push off the line of scrimmage and has good hands inside and should be retained by the Jets.
