The Washington Redskins re-signed tight end Vernon Davis to a three-year contract extension.
Davis, 33, has agreed to terms on a deal that is believed to be worth around $5 million per season.
Davis was selected sixth overall by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2006 draft out of Maryland
Davis is a 2x Pro Bowler (2009 & 2013) and has made 164 appearances in the NFL. Davis has had 505 receptions for 6,424 yards and 57 touchdowns.
Davis ranks in the top 15 among all tight ends in NFL history and won the Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos in the 2015-16 season.
Davis is happy to remain and finish his career in Washington as a Redskins.
