The Washington Redskins are understood to be interested in Kenny Britt once Free Agency opens in March.
Britt, 28, was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in with their the first round pick, 30 overall in the 2009 Draft.
After 5 seasons with the Titans, Kenny Britt signed a 2 year, $9,150,000 contract with the St. Louis Rams, including $3,550,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $4,575,000. In 2016, Britt will earn a base salary of $3,600,000, a roster bonus of $1,000,000 and a workout bonus of $250,000.
Coming off of his first 1,000 yard season, Britt is a veteran receiver with an underrated receive and the Redskins believe maybe a handy replacement for DeSean Jackson who is expected to leave the team.
Britt would be a good fit for the Redskins, if the price was right, as Jay Gruden values the wide receiver position and Kirk Cousins would enjoy another Garcon big bodied wide receiver at his disposal.
Britt would excel under what would be no doubt his best offense he would have played against with the quality of Cousin throwing to him.
This move makes a lot of sense for both parties and is one the Redskins are set to pursue in march.
Over his 8 year career Britt has 309 receptions, 4,881 yards and scored 30 Touchdowns
