RICHMOND vs COLLINGWOOD
MCG – THURSDAY 7:20 PM (AEDT)
Coach Damien Hardwick will be reluctant to make too many changes after their impressive 43-point victory over the Blues in round 1.
Anthony Miles was a shock ‘None’ selection in round 1 against Carlton, but after a strong showing from Round 1’s midfield, Miles will find it hard to crack into the side and is expected to play in the VFL this week.
Ben Lennon impressed in the VFL, kicking three goals and should cause headaches at the selection table.
Talented young defender Jayden Short also played well in the VFL and may replace Taylor Hunt in the side, after looked out of place against the Blues.
Good news for the Tigers with Steve Morris set to play his first game of football in the VFL after recovering from a knee reconstruction.
Shaun Hampson has undergone multiple back surgeries and is currently on a ‘light’ modified training program and is not expected to return to mid season.
The Tigers have placed Jack Graham on the long-term injury list after fracturing his tibia bone during a training drill last week.

Nathan Buckley would have been pleased with the effort from his boys in round 1, against the reigning premiers, after going down by just 14 points.
Buckley will be forced to make one change to his 22 with Travis Varcoe receiving a 1-match ban for a high bump on Luke Dahlhaus. James Aish is the obvious answer to replace Varcoe after his late scratching from round 1 with a virus.
Collingwood has quickly ruled out a Jamie Elliott return in round 2 and are expected to give him another week to improve on his match fitness.
New recruit and Ex-Demon lynden Dunn performed well in the VFL in their practice match against Footscray and name should be considered. Matthew Scharenberg performed well also and could be considered.
Daniel Wells debut for the Magpies continues to slide to the right and may start to be a concern the Magpies supporter group, investing so much in the former Roo.
