Brisbane forward Sam Thaiday has been handed a maximum $2100 fine for squeezing the injured thumb of Melbourne prop Jesse Bromwich
Brisbane Broncos veteran Sam Thaiday was charged with contrary conduct and was fined the maximum penalty for the incident in which he appeared to target Jesse Bromwich injured, dislocated thumb.
Social Media went into a frenzy after Thursday nights Block-buster between the Broncos and the Storm. Fans were outraged and were disgusted in what some described as a ‘Dog Act’.
The match review committee charged Thaiday, where if he accepted would have received a $1550 fine for the early guilty plea. Thaiday decided to challenge charge and is set to receive the maxium fine of $2100 if found guilty.
