Hooker Scott Moore and Wakefield Trinity have agreed on a contract exit before the 2017 season.
Moore, 28, one of rugby league’s journeyman has played for seven different clubs over his 186 game career.
The latest being Wakefield Trinity where he made 19 appearances for the club, scoring 3 tries.
In October, Moore was arrested on suspicion of theft and a serious police assault following the pursuit in Leigh which ended in violence and resulted in a police officer sustaining a broken wrist.
“Both myself and Scott agreed a fresh start would be best for all concerned and I wish Scott good luck in the future,” chairman Michael Carter said.
Swinton Lions are believed to be willing to give the hooker a lifeline and offer him a deal to join them in the Championship.

Moore helped the Wildcats overcome the Bradford Bulls in the Million Pound Game, scoring a late try to help Wakefield remain in the Super League for the 2016 season.
