Solid under the high ball and defused a number of attacking grubbers. Overall try saves gets him into the squad this week.


2 Ben Jones-Bisop (Wakefield)

Jones-Bisop scored a hat-trick of tries that helped Wakefield to a convincing 38-18.


3 Joel Monaghan (Castleford)

Castleford Tigers Media Day

Injuries have opened the door for Monaghan and boy has he given Coach Daryl Powell something to think about, scoring 3 tries in Castleford’s 52-16 thumping of the Giants.


4 Ben Crooks (Leigh)

Crooks scored a double in his sides shock defeat at the hands of the Vikings.


5 Matty Russell (Warrington)

Russell was brilliant for the Wolves against Hull FC, he scored a hat-trick that helped Warrington score their first point for the season. Whether it be a draw or not, Matty Russell was the reason why the Wolves were even in the game.


THE HALVES

6 Danny Craven (Widnes)

Helped guide his winless Vikings to their first victory of the season with his magical hat-trick of tires.


7 Luke Gale (Castleford)

Luke Gale has made the No.7 spot his own in our ‘Team of the Week.’ This is his 5th appearance out of a possible seven, when you are scoring hat-tricks and setting up plenty of others, it’s hard not to stay our of this side.
