Tautau Moga To Make Shock Rd 1 Start

Wayne Bennett is set to make one of the biggest shock Selections heading in to Rd 1 of the 2017 NRL Season.

Once touted as the next Israel Folau, Moga signed with the Broncos at the end of the 2016 season, after 3 seasons with the Cowboys.

Broncos through the talented centre a life-line after having a horror injury run that has included three knee reconstructions in four seasons.


After a poor showing in the World Club Challenge against the Warrington Wolves, new recruit David Mead is set to miss out on selection to make way for Moga.

Wayne Bennett has been pleased with the progress of Moga in the Broncos trials against Ipswich and Wynnum Manly and had Moga train in the main squad along slide Corey Oates in Monday training session.

Anthony Milford is believed to be in favour of the move.

“He’s a very big boy … he has been ever since we were young,” he said.

“He’ll be hard to stop one-on-one. We’re going to need him on that left side.”
