The NZ Warriors and the Wests Tigers are close on a deal that will see Lolohea join the Tigers in 2017.
Lolohea, 22, is being wasted away in reserve grade and his frustration with the club has come to boiling point as he pleads with the Warriors for a immediate release from his contract.
Lolohea is currently contracted to the Warriors until the end of the 2018 season, but it is understood the Warriors can not guarantee him game time in the Warriors 17 and are close to agreeing to a contract release.
The 5th Tackle team came aware of reports that Ivan Cleary identified Lolohea as a possible replace for either James Tedesco at fullback, but it is likely he will replace Mitchell Moses in the havles.
Lolohea’s arrival in 2017, would allow the Tigers to agree to a contract release to Mitchell Moses who has requested to join the Parramatta Eels as soon as possible.
A decision on Lolohea’s future is expected to be finalised within the coming weeks if not days.
