Jamaal Charles is believed to be in talks with the Washington Redskins on a potential 1-year deal.
The Washington Redskins free agency period has not been the best, but may end it with a potential signing of Jamaal Charles.
The Redskins franchised tag quarterback Kirk Cousins once again, but let work two of his best receivers in Desean Jackson (Tampa Bay) and Pierre Garcon (San Francisco). They did however bring in talented quarterback turn wide receiver Terrelle Pryor from the Browns.
Now the Redskins want to improve their offense and believe a Jamaal Charles could be worth the risk, as his value continues to drop with every day he is available in free agency.
Charles, 30, is coming off two serious knee injuries which have taken their toll on the veteran back. The biggest question mark about Charles at this point is, whether or not he will be able to return to the field as the dominating player of old.
The Redskins are expected to put Charles through a strenuous physical to earn the team’s trust. But if passes with flying colors and can get back to his old self, then it could end up being a steal for the Washington Redskins.
