We Rank Clubs Best Small Forward Heading into 2017

We rank AFL Clubs best small forward, 1-18 heading into the 2017 Season.

18 Brendon Matera

Matera struggled at the beginning of the 2016 season, unable to maintain a regular spot in coach Rodney Eades best 22.

Eventually broke back in the side in round 8 and maintained his spot for the rest of the season. Matera still only managed to boot 15 goals from 17 games, not great figures for a small forward and is the reason why he kicks off our rankings at 18.

17  Jack Silvagni

Son of a legend at the Blues, Jack managed 8 games in his rookie season, and he didn’t look out of place.

Managed to kick 7 goals for the blues and with another pre-season under his belt should see him move up the rankings. but starts the season ranked 15th in our books. Loads of potential though.

16 Jack Billings

Billings statistically had his best year at the club, but his inaccurate kicking keeps in at the lower end of the rankings. Billings kicked 6.12 in 2016 and will hope to improve his accuracy for the the 2017 season.

A injured riddled start to his career, Billings will be hoping for a more consistent season in 2017 and if that happens we predict he will quickly climb our ranking.
