Zeb Taia is rumoured to have agreed to a player swap in principle, involving himself and Joe Greenwood.
Saints Helen’s are believed to have proposed a offer to the Gold Coast Titans that will see Zeb Taia become a Saint in 2017 and will deliver Joe Greenwood to the Titans before the start of the 2017 Season.
Taia, 32, returned to the NRL in 2016 making 24 appearances for the Titans after a successful stint in English Super League with the Catalan Dragons.
It is believed that Titans coach Neil Henry could not guareentee a spot for Taia after the heavy recruitment drive by the Titans at the end of the 2016 season.
The Club has brought in Kevin Proctor from the Melbourne Storm and Jarrod Wallace from the Brisbane Broncos, whilst also locking away Ryan James on a long-term contract. Taia has fallen down the pecking order and believed it is better for him to move on.
Taia is an 208 game veteran and has represeted New Zealand and the Cook Islands at an International level. The Player swap is expected to be confirmed within the next 48 hours.
